John has lived
in Raleigh for 17 years and has been actively painting for the
last 8 years. John's formal art study has been limited to college
study and varied drawing and painting classes after college.
He focused on drawing for many years before moving into oil
paints. His current art concentration alternates between landscapes
and painting the figure. In his landscapes he strives to establish
an almost surreal quality and a mood which the viewer will relate
to and be drawn into
