"I enjoy the challenge of capturing light and experimenting with richer and brighter color combinations, contrasting them with deep shadows."
"Much of my inspiration comes from local landscapes in rural Chatham County where I live. I often look to Fearrington Village and its garden setting for many of my paintings. Gardens have always held a fascination for me. As a child I dreamt of wandering in an English-style garden, and I spent hours with my mother tending to the roses, daisies, and blue hydrangeas in our back yard."
