Jason Craighead and David Green are two very interesting guys whose collaborative art endeavors began in 1992 at Florida State University. As the story goes, a sketchbook lived on the coffee table of their shared home, and friends were encouraged to write or draw along with them in the book. It was sort of a shared community art book that could evolve and involve anyone inclined to participate. Serendipitously, Jason and David found that the creations born of their collaborative efforts were stronger than what either accomplished individually. It was magical. These efforts were so special that friends who normally participated in the book were reluctant to disturb the images that the two had created. And so began their collaborative sojourn to "empty out onto canvas that which makes them artists." Each is schooled in the fine arts, Dave as a teacher and Jason as a painter. They are currently painting in Raleigh, NC, at Litmus Gallery and are quite prolific. Best described as emerging artists, these two as one are potent, energetic, and real. What an adventure it will be watching them progress online.
